It was 5 years really including the year on loan but yeah they should have shit or gotten off the pot a lot earlier than this, although it does look like they've been played fairly nicely by him and his representatives.

Mbappe and Haaland have both made moves that have set them up now for huge pay days. Very smart.

We (City) need to be mindful that Haarland and his agent will see a 5 year contract at City as a way to move again when the player is in his prime - so I wouldn't be surprised if that 5 year contract got rundown and not renewed.
