I know the verdict is 'it's on our board to not have seen this Kane deal through,' but is it entirely on them? Look at Spurs.. imo, the Kane sale was only going to happen if they managed to get one of Vlahovic or Lautaro with Paratici's help at the price they wanted. But getting €150m for Kane and €100m of it already going on either of those was never in question, so why would Spurs lose their best asset?
I reckon he was definitely given the green light to leave as long as a replacement was secured first hand, but now this late in the window, it's clear they've miserably failed to recruit players for key positions, have a shit load of players who want out but no one wants to pay for, and similarly plenty of players they are interested in do not want Spurs as they have fuck all to offer in comparison and are playing in the most mediocre of European competition.
If we don't get a striker, we can still be fine for top 4 in a worst case scenario, but their rebuild has not been of any significance and Levy has lost out on a very good sum of money for a player who clearly wanted out. We will redeem ourselves by working a solution in attack, and likely we will get our striker in Jan or next summer, not sure Spurs will move in to top 4 with their squad
