What we have to do is make sure Kun's replacement improves the first team.

As remote as it seems now he might already be in the squad.

With massive price tags on goal scorers at or near their peak its important we get more youth into the fray.

I know Pep would want a LB , DM and Striker ready made to make us that much harder to beat week in week out and the I am happy with the squad is fine but he would always want more to work with but we are where we are and he might have to do with what we have until January if not next season.

I recall Khaldoon saying we would replace Kun before the season starts or the window ends and its best not to say too much unless you already has secured that player but again lets see how we go as we are before we start to question the recruitment for this season as its obvious Kun had run his race at City as a legend of the club.

I feel so sorry for Aguero, he was told he was being moved on because we were getting in a new striker and he wouldn’t get game time. To do that to your greatest ever player, who brought you your club's greatest ever moment is just so morally wrong.

I have no issue at all with Aguero being allowed to leave. Right decidion at the right time, regardless. The expectation then that it created on finding a replacement is a burden, but the club have to bear through that.

I also have no issue with not overpaying for Kane at his age.

And I don't have any issue with not signing Ronaldo either, who I only came to think I'd want in the short spell it looked likely.

What bothers me is the dithering and time put into it, an apparent lack of resoluteness one way or the other. At least with Haaland, it seemed clear we were not in it. The others look like we tried, just not well enough.

But if in the long term they get it right, that is all that matters.

I'm surprised people still think we should have retained Kun.... Our execs are the absolute best in class and we have the best recruitment team in the world so if we haven't signed a striker yet it's with good reason..

Agree on striker this window, but who now?
Talk was of striker this year, DM and LB next. Only suggesting that perhaps plans may get revised as I can’t see us spending top dollar on all 3 next year.
