Some chatter at Chelsea end re Haaland proposal.
£100m plus Tammy Abraham or Odoi.
And loan Haaland back to Dortmund for the season.
That would be very smart.
They know we are in more need of a striker than them this summer.
It takes us out of the game this summer and everyone else next year.
That choice was made by the Club, when KDB signed a new contract.
Rodri does not have the same weapons available as Fernandinho. The essential elements we need for a dm to succeed are: pace, power, positional awareness, passing ability, reading of the game, composure.
Rodri does have some of those attributes but he is too slow and what is more criminal when he is harassed by faster players he does not lift his head but either gets caught with the ball or continues to put pressure on the defence by passing back and not offering an outlet.
It’s is that simple.
At the end of day, financial side ignored, we are getting a very good player for another. Similar age and profile, I would prefer obviously like most City fans to keep Bernardo, but if he does not want to stay, then you just accept and move on.and the sad thing is, we'll probably end up paying £30m more for grealish than what we get for bernardo
That's an excellent deal for Dortmund. Interesting to see what comes of it.Some chatter at Chelsea end re Haaland proposal.

If it's really about young strikers Isak is available for 60m.
He'd play some wicked games if we got him.If it's really about young strikers Isak is available for 60m.
Doesn't really make sense for Haaland, why would he lock himself to Chelsea when he has to play another season at Dortmund anyway. Makes much more sense to just stay there for next season and then have every club at your disposal, sounds like a Chelsea dream. Some chatter at Chelsea end re Haaland proposal.

So we get rid of fernandinho and rodri because they weren't good enough for the CL final.
And Pep doesnt trust them. Thats your solution
Rodri first game for us against Liverpool in the charity shield, got jumped on lost the ball just outside of our box, this was in the first 10 minutes of the game, he still gets jumped on and teams target him , he's not come to terms with this. Its another one of those situations when you have to wonder what made Guardiola buy a defensive midfielder with no qualities whatsoever and then play him 100 times in 2 seasons (winning 4 trophies)
Particular defensive midfield, the position Pep played himself, and the position he has made the cornerstone of his sides, promoting a novice Busquets because he could see the qualities he had and moving Lahm into midfield because he could see the qualities he had and that he'd suit the role.
And yet apparently it all completely deserted him and he now plays someone with none of the required skills to be a defensive midfielder.
Have added Chelsea to my c**t list..now third after rags and scousers..they pushed spurs out after 81Interesting.
They would effectively be overpaying by 30m+ AND a promising player, to not get their player any sooner than his reported release clause.
Would mean that a)Haaland would be convinced it is chelsea he wants and is happy to wait. Or b)haaland is not at all convinced, and chelsea are oooking to convince Dortmund in the hope they can also convince him.
Not sure that Abraham or Hudson-Odoi would move there either at this stage of their careersDoesn't really make sense for Haaland, why would he lock himself to Chelsea when he has to play another season at Dortmund anyway. Bookmarked ;)That chatter about Chelsea’s offer is the epitome of what the transfer thread is about!! Haha!
If that happens I’ll give everyone on this forum a grand!!
Grealish is the better player now it seems at least, but frankly it's interesting that Bernardo has become the player he is now, but when we signed him was that what you expected from him as you did from Milner before? A player with good work rate but not so good end product? Because I expected him to be like David Silva was, to be very creative and so on, because when we played against Monaco he played very well in the first half, but that was very misleading because Yaya was running around in our midfield at that time and he was very slow.and the sad thing is, we'll probably end up paying £30m more for grealish than what we get for bernardo
Yeah i agree. Not sure that Abraham or Hudson-Odoi would move there either at this stage of their careers
