If anyone offered us £50m for him, I’d snap their hands off.

30m would not ne that absurdly far off either. I agree after the season he has had he should be worth more. He is however 30, in the last two years of his contract.
 
If we were trying to Moneyball it, yes now would be the time to sell. But we rarely cash in on our players unless they are unhappy, and there's no sign of it with Gündy. He'll almost certainly stay to the end of his contract and leave on his own terms, like most of our long-serving players

But all the "ten year players" had multiple managers during their time with us. Most managers (including Pep) have argued that players get bored of hearing the same voice, and Pep is notoriously intense too.

Pep is heading into his sixth season, so he's in new territory, and by the end of next season he could well be our second longest serving manager ever. If he's planning to stay, then he likely needs to refresh the dressing room even if it means selling players that have been successful.
