If Barcelona are getting Garcia then there won’t be room for Eric, Madrid don’t have any money, no Italian club is paying 70 million + for him. I doubt we would sell him to an English club so the only real option would be PSG. I hope not as I would be gutted to see him leave. You never know pep might go three at the back next year as it seems the in thing to do at the moment.
Written off a move to psg with his change to spains national team.
Dont blame him if he was agitating. Hes a quality player and has lost his place.
He either decides Im better than what im getting and I’ll prove it here or i’ll prove it elsewhere. But elsewhere can only be in spain

We won't replace a fullback in the squad with a striker or another midfielder, it isn't just numbers it's balance. IF grealish is coming then somebody at the top end is almost definitly leaving. I'd guess one of Sterling, Jesus or Bernardo leave.

I find the discussion on squad spaces fuuucking exhausting.

me: we don't have free spaces in the squad, it is one in one out.
other: we do, you are wrong, you moron.
me: these are the rules, the quota for PL and CL, these are our current numbers.
other: But, you moron, if we get rid of A, promote B, loan out C, use D to cover his position, leave E out of the CL squad, and make F train with the kids, we have spaces.
me: thanks for proving my point.
other: told you we had free spaces, you moron.

over and over.

I would be upset too in Laporte’s position. He was a revelation with us until he became plagued by injuries. In terms of his performances, aside from sometimes looking rusty (totally understandable given his injuries) he hasn’t done much wrong.

Hopefully, he’ll stay and back himself to win his spot in the side back. As good as the Stones/Dias partnership has been, Laporte is good enough to reclaim his place.

I wouldn't get too worked up. Easy to be upset when you've probably just been told you won't start a Champions League final. After a first international tournament and a holiday, I'm sure he'll come back with a more positive attitude about getting back in the side.

Pretty much. He will look at his options, see how limited they are this season, and hopefully see that being one of 3 first choices for 2 spots with a chance of winning stuff is a damn good position to be in, and clubs at Spurs' level are out of the question.

And even if he doesn't, the reality of the club gettong the right fee and letting him go to then have to replace him will come into play. Look how hard, and costlt it was to sign the right defender last year. That we would ho through that again is a bit of a stretch for me.

No surprise if Laporte does want out.

This is exactly why Grealish coming without any major outgoings will not work.

Too many quality players for a limited number of positions - top class players won’t get the minutes they want, become unhappy and force a move.

i'd like him to have the mentality of Zin and fight for his place. Stones could have another melt down ( i hope not ) or him or Ruben could get injured. The chances of another season like this will be slim.

Zin has indeed showed great attitude to reinvent himself, but he's pretty much had a free run at the opportunity given our lack of quality options there.

Laporte has the task of breaking up (maybe) the best centre back partnership in the world.

Hang on, Laporte had the starting spot at the beginning of the season.

He didn't have to break into anything, he just had to play reasonably well next to one of the best central defenders on the planet, and he lost his place by making some really big mistakes and not performing - that's what let Stones in from the cold.

To want to leave after 6 months out of the starting lineup is incredibly weak if it's true. He doesn't even need to be better than Stones because Pep has said many times he prefers a left foot/right foot combination.

People get angsty about the weirdest things. My own opinion is everyone should relax and enjoy it all. These are the days that we dreamt about.
