Sterling is fast, but only on paper. He is very short and weak, which means he can't run past defenders as effectively as Walker because he just bounces off them, not to mention he often drives the ball into the opposition player. He is actually a very slow thinking player.
That’s the understatement of the year, Sterling has not got a footballing brain, said this ages ago, he’s instinctive and fast. He cant dribble past players, get his head down he runs into them and can’t pick a pass out and just isn’t good with the ball at his feet. The team are far more technically gifted and Grealish would be perfect, I’d use Sterling in a player cash deal for Kane if we get the chance.

Are we likely to see a change in formation which will dictate ins and outs.
It seems to me, dippers, rags and now Chelsea have a style of play that exposes our weaknesses.

Tottenham getting Conte he players another formation that could expose us

Yes. I'm shitting it. We should definitely pack up and go home. After all Ole, Tuchel, Conte, they've all done so well in besting Guardiola as coaches that we're fucked.

I reckon what we do is we give Sterling away, sack Pep and bring in someone who 'understands' Europe like Mourinho or Benitez, and then lets sit back and watch the good times roll again.

It's been so hard the last few years seeing us get exposed so much. I feel naked just thinking about all the exposure that has been inflicted upon us.

Guardiola is a disgrace really. Can't believe that the stupid Spaniards running the club have left him in charge for so long whilst he keeps exposing us. Clown should expose us to some titles instead of these horrible defeats.

We will change formation if we buy a striker, but teams that sit deep and counter will always be the hardest for us to beat because we will always have possession and play high. Thats how we play, just as chelsea and united struggle when they have to play teams that sit back against them . Liverpool are slightly different and we seem to have got more to grips with them and their high pressing.
Hopefully a striker will give us more cutting edge against the bus parkers and one or two counter attack goals wont matter so much.

"Pep Guardiola selects player with no footballing brain 40+ times per season for five straight seasons" seems a slightly hard to swallow headline, unless The Onion is doing football headlines now

A post that exposes the lie that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. :-)

Bit OTT mate, someone just pissed on your shoes. Response was to whether we may change formation to deal with the breakaway formations our closest challengers use. Your tirade misplaced but hey ho that’s the forum for you

Yes, Sane is what I would call rapid.

Foden is the one who continually surprises me.

He doesn't look quick but there are very few players in world football who are as quick when they are also running with the ball at close quarters.

I agree Sane and Foden are quick and in control of the ball when they run, both seem to glide past players

Sterling reminds me of SWP, quick and i think he knows what he wants to do, but his feet don't do what his brain tells him and more often than not, the ball gets caught up in the feet which leads to mis-control
