Depends how you structure it. With CFG there's the option of backloading the signing on fee and paying them when they leave for another CFG club like NYC. Jesus? City's Jesus? Fair play - he hides that ability well.Can play either side of a three or in a two with a more traditional striker. I would hate to lose Gabby, personally. His combination of attributes is very difficult to replicate, and if we get back to creating the quantity and quality of chances we did a couple of years ago he's a 20 goal a season player across all competitions

You are correct. Usually a phone call between chairmen or CEO's in the end, certainly for the truly big deals.
When we see bids out in the public domain, just usually the club being approached leaking it to try and squeeze a few more quid, or shape a narrative for their own fanbase.
