Sterling is on the clock and has been told as much.

He must agree a renewal before a set date or City will seek a sale.

There is an acceptance things haven't been helped because he is without an agent, but we won't be strung along.

The issue is we know Sterling would not entertain the majority of clubs outside of two or three.

City have told him they want him to renew but it is not clear what the outcome will be.

He would be stupid to play games because City will call his bluff.

Sterling might think and is relax to sit on his current contract and leave when it’s up he will have two years left to ponder put feelers out also! Yep city might get an offer from PSG but Sterling can say no thanks!

be a shame if that does happen he has been brilliant for and contributed to us winning a lot of trophies…

Is City willing to meet his wages demands? That’s the question

He would indeed be foolish to believe he can start trying to play games. His bargaining position has never been weaker since he joined City

I'd honestly sell him if he thinks he can start playing games like this.

Especially with the season, he has had.

We already have a replacement in him with Foden

Answers a lot of questions, imo. Cleary a mental issue, seems in two minds in many situations, a bit like Stones last season. Cannot remember the last time Raz terrorised a defense, like when he was in his pomp, seems unable to trust his instincts, looking for scraps instead of creating dangerous movements. If he gets back to his best he will save us a fortune, if he doesn't , we lose a fortune....

I dunno, feels like sterling's got the power here, given the covid market I imagine he'll sit tight, we won't be able to sell this summer and then next year with 1 year left he goes pretty much where he wants with a couple of exceptions.

If he wants to stay that's different but not the vibe he's been giving off really.

It keeps being asked, but with good reason.....Sell him where?

He will sit on his contract and leave on a free, that i suspect is the only way a deal could be found with a new employer.

Raheem has been without an agent the last few months and that won't have helped.

We wanted to keep Sane also, but want to avoid a similar scenario of having to broker a transfer from a position of weakness.

Raheem recently signed a new boot deal, so his lawyers are obviously up to the job, you would like to think?

It could also explain why Grealish is on a list.

Personally, I think City are in a tough spot here if he doesn't sign.

The only leverage in a down market, going into next season, would be him not playing regularly going into a World Cup year?

I don't think money is the issue. More a question what Raheem wants for himself in the next few years.

He can run his deal down to coincide with Pep perhaps leaving, win more trophies in the interim, yet wait for the market to improve when he will still be only 29?

All he has to do is sign. We just don't want to get stung.

Does playing for England mean that much to him?

And also playing in possibly the most uninteresting world cup locations (Qatar) ever.
