So I am not very hopeful of such deals and understand the reasoning of it. At the end of the day Txiki can surprise us all with Kane coming in for a 110 mil and add-on deals.

think this summer is different because clubs are desperate for cash so being stubborn is actually beneficial in some ways.

we already have enough projects in our own academy without needing to buy any. We need "we're struggling in the first 15 minutes, fuck this I'm changing this game" players up front.

It’s not that simple with conte. If levy goes back on his word conte will walk before the season has started. He is that volatile. I think the most like scenario, assuming they do get conte, is that Kane sticks around 1 more year. He has said himself in that Neville interview he is no rush to move and feels he has 7 good years left so i doubt he is absolutely desperate to leave right now. Conte appointment can also be seen as spurs showing ambition which is what Kane wants. I really don’t think it is unlikely Kane stays. Conte is they key imo

Conte is Roberto Mancini MKII , I can't see Levy and him lasting a season.

I think he’s saying that a striker is the priority and what happens after that depends on funds, who wants to go, who does go etc.

Theres no doubt City would want Grealish but not if it meant making any compromise on a striker.

Tbf unless I’m mistaken he has never claimed to be ‘’ITK’. He gets his opinions from ascertaining what the media steer is and shapes the most likely scenario from that. Apologies if I’m wrong but that’s how I’ve always read Billy’s posts.

I think Kane said that so not to totally alienate the spurs fans who adore him. Reality is he is now desperate to get out of spurs as he can see his career sliding into being a top player who won absolutely nothing. He stuck around another year or two for Mourinho and it doesn't get much bigger than that, i just get a feeling once he did that interview, thats his cards on the table.

Agree with you there mate. Good move by spurs to get that Italian DOF in with conte as well. Should help smooth the relationship with levy but I don’t see it being long term either

I dont think we will sign a striker at all if we cant get Kane. Club has proved in the past they wont buy anyone for the sake of it. I.e when Jorginho fell through, or the summer when Vinnie left.
 
I would rather spend the budget on 1 exceptional player ( Mbappe, Haaland or Sancho ) instead of spending +150m on couple average to above average players.
 
Can’t be arsed with Aguero not being properly replaced. It’d be criminal to go another season using the false 9.

The way we came to acquire Dais is the way we operate. Stupid to put all of our eggs in one basket and if we can't get our initial target then we will move onto another. No way we start next season with just Jesus as our option up top.
