At 3'37 Peps explains his selection for our biggest game. Until he says differently that is why he made those decisions. No need for speculation or amateur attempts at mind reading, rely on the source. No reference to trusting Rodri or Ferna.

definitely feels like a different player now to the one we saw play against us in the champions league. Was almost messi like back then!

Although that would be shit I’d much prefer Sancho went to the chavs than the fucking scum. I just wish we were in for him. Amazing player.

I’d still prefer Haaland though. Or Kane, as that’s the position we need to improve the most.
 
It’s a shame if the rumours about Bernardo are true. We sometimes look like a better team when he plays instead of KDB.

I agree there are many differing points of view. Politely put, I have never seen, in 60 years of watching football ,an individual player who did not have some "weaknesses", physically, mentally or skillwise. But I take the view that it is a team sport, a collection of individuals coming together as one unit as Oldius so well put it:
"A team is a blend of players of different strengths and weaknesses. Players are not 'covering' for each other, they are complementing each other. We could equally argue that without Rodri's aerial strength or positioning, the whole midfield would be exposed, especially given that it is short of height and physical power, generally speaking. Unfortunately, and it is abundantly clear, we remain a club that targets individual players as scapegoats and it is the only aspect of the club that I despise"
Edmund Hillary is famous for the first ascension of Mt. Everest but he needed a team to get there, had any one of the team failed he might not have made it. Look how vulnerable Stones & Dias looked in the absence of Rodri or Ferna in CL final. I refer you to this article on "lack of pace", I am not suggesting that Rodri may in time be included in this list but it is interesting if you want to focus on pace. It is worth noting these players were judged on their careers, Rodri is 24, on the first step of his career, too early to discount him yet.

If we were trying to Moneyball it, yes now would be the time to sell. But we rarely cash in on our players unless they are unhappy, and there's no sign of it with Gündy. He'll almost certainly stay to the end of his contract and leave on his own terms, like most of our long-serving players
