City run a fairly tight ship, but there are various ways these things get out. My rule of thumb is hearing it from numerous sources. It always tickles me to read posters say “no evidence”. I feel certain that Bernardo had a heart to heart with Pep about being homesick etc. He’ll have given the only advice he can give which is speak to your agent I guess. There ain’t going to be evidence. From all the videos they all seem like intelligent adults, Pep will know where each of the players heads are at. Based on multiple source theory I take as read..

Bernardo has multiple reasons for wanting to leave. Mendy Twitter fiasco, proximity to girlfriend, Manchester weather, didn’t expect Pep to stay this long.

Laporte just wants to be the main man, or at least considered first choice to partner Dias. If he isn’t the main man he wants to go somewhere where he is.

Jesus. This one more diluted. All I’ve heard is that Pep loves his work rate and wants to keep him.

Not heard anything else about other names, Sterling etc. I hope Raz signs a new deal.
Yep, people demand evidence as they are unable to read between the lines. For all your logical reasons it makes sense, to others they struggle

I have zero issue with any player wanting to leave......my question would be what are the club doing about it. If we losec4cplayers ( that's just the number cause it's what pep said) and just bring in Grealish and say Kane we are weaker.

My other issue is the baseless shit from the media.....anyone can throw enough shit around and eventually some will stick.....same with the aggregators, twatteratty etc
Yeah but Bernardo wasn’t baseless evidently was it. Because you hadn’t heard him say he wants to leave you didn’t believe it. We won’t shift 4 players, no chance. The club probably wanted to ensure Grealish was through the door with Bernardo, let’s now see.

I can't help but think all our transfers should be in the bag now? Amazing signing in jack, but surely wanting kane we knew levy would be an absolute **** so it would be a case of pay up and get him weeks ago or piss around like this or move on.
Definitely looks like Kane or nobody, which if we do miss out on him and Messi goes to PSG, that will be a bit of a fuck up on our behalf to not get either

If we move Bernardo on and Jesus if reports are true that surely puts another 100m in the kitty, shame it's the Italians that want our players they will offer us a payment over 60 years lol

Ings to Villa for £25m (with a year left on his Soton contract) was very good business. I thought he would have been a good signing for city, guaranteed goals.

Move them on if we can then. Pep said we don't want to keep anyone that's not commited. Shite that it's always the Italians that Want our players. What will they offer £16 over 9 years.
While I dont disagree with moving them on if they dont want to be here the loss of kun, Bernardo and jesus with grealish and kane coming in makes us weaker in terms of options.
We would have one main striker (kane). Torres is a possibility but at present for me something about him doesnt sit tight with me....big season after a year adapting but it feels like he may not like the premiership and want a return to warmer climates ( just gut feeling nothing else and o could be well off the mark).....also as a leader of the line/no.9 he has a lot to develop

Will Pep persist with false 9 at times? It's been suggested he would be reluctant as teams will work it out.

Delap seems to be going on loan to stoke.

Our top goal scorer was gundo last year who had his best ever goal return in his career....If we get Kane we will have to rotate him at times and as a traditional no.9 he is less flexible in terms of where he can play and therefore how the team plays

For these reasons I'd keep Jesus

Exactly. Jack and hopefully Kane will impact the first 11. It’s about time we start to see a few of the academy lads over players that want to leave.

We need to move away from 2 world class players for each position. Impossible to keep them all happy. Upgrade the first 14 with quality and the rest youth.

I agree with the second point. It’s becoming impossible to have two players in every position. One always wants to leave.

posters say we rotate, but our best players will always start the big games. I’d rather one of the youngsters was the second choice

Doing that exposes us to risk should a long term injury occur to the first choice player

No idea why, but I've had the feeling since the start of the window that we'll lose 2 players this summer. With recent statements I could see 3 going, presuming the deals suit all parties.

I would think letting Jesus go is purely dependent upon getting Kane and even then , only if a club makes a suitable offer, he won't be leaving on the chaep.

Torres a year older and hopefully more settled with the club/culture, big season for him and make or break for his long term future with us.

So does keeping Jesus to take 7 opportunities to score. Or we could give Palmer or McAtee a go and find we don't need Jesus anyway. We're talking about generational talents here who've just thumped 3 Championship sides. If Chelsea can trust Abraham, Hudson-Odoi etc, Liverpool trust N Williams and Nat Phillips we can trust these lads.

it wouldn’t be for every position. Just one or two. Also we have a squad now where most players can play in multiple positions anyway.

for instance why not have Palmer as second choice behind mahrez. If he’s not quite ready Torres or Sterling can always play there as well
