What he lacks defensively I do feel he makes up for in our approach / attacking play. But yes, the sooner we cut our Mendy losses and bring in another LB the better. In the meantime we have Laporte and Ake who are both better than Benjamin.

We really should move heaven and earth to get Mendy out and replaced with a proper left back who can play wing back. There will be times we should play 3 at the back (Chelsea one of them), problem is we don’t have a left wing back.

Mendy before his injuries would have been perfect. Zinchenko isn’t quite quick or athletic enough for that role. Cancelo has to cut in all the time. A proper left back would give us much more tactical flexibility.

Laporte since the injury has never been the same player, become a mard arse, IF he wants to go, get rid, we can't have unhappy players stinking the place out.

So we blame the weather instead.Same thing for Bernardo if he wants out then fuck him and that goes for everyone and I`m a bloody massive fan of Bernies but lets not kid ourselves that alls not well with some players.

He wanted out last season but gave us another season and a good one at that, give him a break.

He is not an Englishman, he is not a Manc, some people don't like the culture/climate of either, that's life.

Bernardo has given his all for us and give him respect for doing so, he clearly loves the club.

We will probably be willing let him go for virtually nothing next summer, it just depends if he's willing to take a pay cut because no one is paying him what he's currently on here. Either that or we let his contract run down but he's still got two more years left.
