What I hate about ITV coverage is the half-time interval - 7 minutes adverts, one minute "analysis", 7 more minutes adverts and trailers.

I know it gives us time for a pee or a brew, but it's too much.

Not being funny but how else do you think they can generate the revenue to fund the product?

At least we don't get in-game ad breaks! Lol.
Used to years ago, would take a ad break at a corner or if player down, forget which match it was may have been a european game and went for a ad break at a corner and a goal was scored, think after that it was full 45mins without breaks...

I appreciate that a commercial channel must "generate revenue". I just don't want my football match intruded on by such a vast quantity of advertising. is that too much to ask?

but that's the only way itv can get the matches,if they didn't show adverts you would have to pay for the "free football"

its free football, but the tv company needs to pay for it,so how do you suggest they do that.

I repeat, it's the sheer quantity I hate. We have to have it, but I hate it, like we have to have disease.

fair enough, whenever I switch over to the sky channels you can always be sure youll turn over straight into the adverts, shit but what can you do

If the programme is scheduled to start at 19:30 there are adverts from 19:28-19:32, then there's a bit of non-insightful chatter between people with a half-grasp on the language we speak, then there are more adverts from 19:36-19:40, then there's some more inane bullshit being chatted, then the teams come out and there are more adverts from 19:43-19:46 and then we have to put up with Andy Townsend and that bell-end commentator who has been around for donkeys (talking shit throughout).

Then it starts again at half time. Where they have two further advert breaks in 12minutes.

Then it happens again after 45 more minutes of Townsend and the commentator, adverts straight after the final whistle then some more before the post-match interviews.

Not sure why you bother mate. As soon as the half time whistle goes, I'm off doing something worthwhile for 15 mins.

Of course in reality it's not free - we all pay for it in the price of anything we purchase that advertises on television. Because it's not separated out, we don't notice it. People without Sky pay for Sky too.

Having a wank does not count as something worthwhile.
