Blimey Ship Canal House, I worked there from 1969 for a few years when I worked for The Manchester Ship Canal Company. Happy Days.I've lived for a few years now in the West Country, Concorde used to fly directly over my house. No matter how many times I saw it, it was a stunning sight.
Incidentally, back in the Mid-60's, I was waiting for a job interview and gazing out of the window from the top floor of Ship Canal House. A guy asked me what I was staring at, I replied I was watching a Bristol Britannia approaching Ringway, he argued it was a Vickers Viscount. I was right, he was the interviewer, I got the job.
The suave and debonair Edward Bacon and his mad brother Newton in his jodhpurs and riding boots!Blimey Ship Canal House, I worked there from 1969 for a few years when I worked for The Manchester Ship Canal Company. Happy Days.
and Belarus pretty much now, as no western airlines fly over it and Russian planes aren't allowed west.View attachment 37553
Do you think there’s a no-fly zone over Ukraine?
A "no fly zone" is any aircraft including military, not general civilian aircraft, civiliian aircraft are just not flying in the region due to the risk they could be shot down.View attachment 37553

Weird huh
Incidentally check out callsign 11100169 which has been flying hexagonal circuits from a Polish airfield close to the Ukraine border since 2009GMT tonight, at quite low speeds, at 17,000 feet, it's most likely a surveillance drone.
