I actually want mourinho to take the rags job, Bobby is more infectious than a thai ladyboy and would love the two to go head to head..... our arsenal is undoubtedly getting stronger, and I genuinely believe in karma....... how fitting if bob could have the last laugh and bring it home.
Elysium will open the gates with open arms,

I agree in principle, just due to the fact that if Mourinho didn't cut it here then who would the club and the general moaners turn to next?

Lot more room for manoeuvre with Mancini, needs to be given another season at a bare minimum.

I agree, though the man will show a hell of alot more loyalty......... i could envisage mourinho taking the city job and jumping ship to the rags, he has the balls to do it.

well said zin, mancini will get us where we want to be, im sure of it.

hope so pal......... never wanted a manager to succeed more. And of course i've always wanted success but this man deserves our support, he's put his reputation on the line (the limited english, the hughesgate affair etc etc) and by sticking to his principles he is winning me over game by game.
Sometimes, which many are unable to grasp on here, you have to analyze as you go along, he's developing a system which will get results, a few of his own men in the summer and it could be take off to the summit next year.

I think he's a very savvy operator.

When he came in he wasn't afraid to call the shots, none of the 'hedging' that Hughes (obviously) would be couching things with.

A really top-class manager can't afford to fudge things, and has to be able to 'go for it' - how else are you going to win anything and develop that necessary attitude within a team?

I feel a lot of people confuse this with arrogance in a way, and that is what someone like Mourinho blurs the lines with.

Another thing I see with Manciti is a smarter approach with the players (like Mourinho) - and again it's important for a cohesive and successful team to have this with their manager and management group.

We may have gone through a little bit of a transitional phase of late, and he's really yet to make his own mark on the make-up of the squad, but I'm very happy to have him and hope that we get to see the benefits of his thinking next season.

We'll see how many people change their minds when the inevitable loss to Sunderland comes tomorrow.

For the record, I'm a supporter of Mancini being our manager, just as I was with Hughes, Sven, Pearce, Keegan, etc. I'll NEVER boo or slate our manager.

yes and I was thinking of this same thing (our possible result and the match at Sunderland) as I wrote my post.

however, supporting and believing in a manager's ability and approach isn't fickle and dependent upon any singular result.

I've never had anything personal against any of the managers you mention - but that need not stop me turning to the guy next to me at Anfield and asking him if he's as cheesed-off as I am watching the way Pearce set us out for that game; and how we only started playing to win after we went a goal down.

likewise, I wasn't sure (whilst I always supported him & the team) that Hughes was up to the job he was tasked with. That need not mean he's a poor overall manager, just that for our situation he had his limitations and I began to wonder about things around the same time that I signed up on here.

Manciti hasn't gotten fully going yet, but from what I have seen so far, despite our less than purple patch, I have been impressed with the way he approaches things. His is a very different style altogether, and I think more appropriate in our circumstances than anything that Hughes ever laid out, not that he didn't make positive contributions in some ways.

I don't think that judging a manager, and assessing any sort of complex system/situation which is what football is (in total) all about comes down to any one game in isolation - baring something very seldom seen and totally catastrophic.

Irrespective of the result tomorrow:

Forza Mancini, forza celesti
