Just been lying in bed not feeling the best so thought I'd watch a film, load up the XBOX and rent the film '1 Day', anyone seen it? I thought it'd be a hidden gem to rival Adulthood (guilty pleasure) however what I was greeted by was the byproduct of Dappy being given a directors role, a Crips member insisting the gangs in the UK must now walk around representing colours and an opera fan telling them the gang members must also complete all dialogue in rap. I lasted around twenty minutes, probably the amount of time they spent picking 'actors'. I can't even be bothered to moan about it now, from what I grasped the story was essentially one young drug dealer telling his best friend "You owe me a hundred bags of scrilla(?!?!?!), I want it in two hours or I'll lick your head off, you get me blud?". I'll leave you with the first two scenes, I wouldn't press play.

(Possibly the poorest intro in film industry?)

Did you not do any bit of research about the film before you shelled out? Lots of film review sites out there that would give you a full synopsis of the film which would give you an impartial overview of said film. Of course there are review sites as well but reviews are, by their nature, subjective. One man's meat and all that. Reading up on the actual plot/story of the film would give you the facts about it.

this films set a few minutes drive from me

gives a really good sense as too what the gang culture is really like in birmingham..

its a poor story line n such but isnt far from the truth as what brums like..

I always do however today I'm not feeling too bright and couldn't be bothered getting out of bed to check, I laughed at the poor acting in the trailer but after twenty minutes of trying to find a film (damn Zune for not having Snatch or Four Brothers), I thought bugger it and rented it for Zune's inflated prices. Serves me right, just a warning to any other BMer's who may one day stumble across this 'film'!
