Jack Grealish

Like shooting, crossing, dribbling, free kicks and first touch?
counter-attacking with half the field in front of him and a pace merchant to play in with 30 yards of space in front of him.

Actually having to create, dribble, score, win fouls, win possession, work hard and contribute in tight areas of the pitch and he falls well short.

You make some good points but I still don't see Grealish as necessary enough to justify the outlay. And I would still be concerned that he may not adapt quite as well as some may think.

The other problem is shifting Mahrez if this happens.

I think Grealish is more suited to us. However, Gundogan has that position nailed at present. We have other priorities this summer.

I get the impression that Grealish could play anywhere in midfield or attack other than DM. He could be an alternate to Foden/Sterling on the wings or Gundogan/Bernardo in the middle. Sort of like Milner years ago but much better passing ability. Or like KDB today...but not as good unless he grows in the team.

Itd be perfect if Mahrez was going to Villa as part of a deal so its nice and simple.

At the end of the day though all we are doing is daydreaming. Our hopes or fears will make no difference either way....or will they.... >evil laugh< whahahaha whaha whahahahaha....

Would you mind sharing some future lottery numbers?
Gundy is playing his best football right now oddly but he will be another year older next year. I just don’t see how he can perform at this level again. I hope I’m wrong but we need a young & strong midfielder as I don’t want to rely on fern & gundy

Either the club believes we can rely on Dinho for one more year, or we get back Douglas Luiz. Wouldn`t be too worried on that one. And in terms of central midfielders, we`ll have KDB, Bernardo, Gundogan, Foden and potentially Doyle and Palmer (maybe even McAtee). The midfield seems stacked

Am sure it’s 60m
Then £45m to us would be a no-brainer.

I know people don't want to contemplate it, but we must start looking for a KDB successor, who isn't getting any younger.

Nobody is in Kev's class, but Grealish would certainly be a smart buy, as City want to increase their homegrown core.

With all these names linked, any news on outgoings?

KDB with his skill he can play at top level till he is at least 34 probably depend on his body with injuries he has had.

There was something about Grealish not having a release clause but a gentlemans agreement with the owner that he could leave only to a champions league club for a reasonable price.
