I mean if a player goes AWOL and doesnt respond to try force a move, cant turn around and expect us to be nice and just let him go which would reward that behaviour.

If he wants a move he can act like a professional, if a club submit a reasonable offer we agree to terminate it early or he can throw his toys out the pram and we hold him to his contract.

The last option is we try convince him to stay during this remaining year but seems bridges have already been burned. Shame as would liked to have seen him get a chance.

I would agree with this, act professionally and get dealt with professionally and with respect. Piss off without telling anyone and don't expect people to bend over backwards to make your wishes come true.

Sancho imo has demonstrated what is wrong with much of football , too much too soon , greed and badly advised.

City should count his leaving as dodging a bullet later in the day, and let him go.

If he has a year left on his scholarship I would do my best to ruin the little plebs career, make him train with the Under 12's.

I certainly wouldn't, I'm sure he and his advisors are perfectly capable of ruining his career themselves, and making him train with other youngsters would be idiotic, in any case the problem seems to be he isn't turning up for training anyway.

What we should do as a club is be professional, try to persuade him to return, but failing that, allow him to go in the best interests of Manchester City FC.

Agreed - rise above the level the player/advisors have set .

City will always be more bigger than self-important individuals such as Sancho.

Ravel Morrison Mark 2

Bit harsh. Morrison is a scum bag. Sancho may be a mard arse but no evidence to suggest he is vile like Morrison.

I have generally been vitriolic about the episode but we have to remember that he is still very young. Just let him go and puck up the nominal fee.

There are rumours that Spurs are not going to sign him yet. I guess this may be a stunt by Levy. Levy may hope City simply just tear up his scholarship agreement and then pick Sancho up for free.

Think we would still get the development fee

You may well be right. I honestly don't know.

Spurs fans on social media claiming it is 'big bad City' playing up. Who knows, it could be Sancho asking for assurances or they cannot agree on wages.

Does anyone know why he wants to leave? It was reported he feels his path to the first team is blocked. I have also read he wants to return to London because he is homesick.
