Sorry, but sign this contract or you're not going on tour is just not right. No way to negotiate about anything.
The amount of the contract is irrelevant. Would his actions be OK if it were for a grand a week?

There are a load of circumstances that lead up to that point tbf. Wasn't like City said it five days before. Months of negotiations.

Agree with 2sips, it was clear that he wasn't going to sign when they left for the tour. If you allow your agent to play hard ball their is a potential consequence where you fall out. This was all played out before the tour so the club are not at fault. These things happen in football.

You are not thinking this through.

He is offered a contract (which is enough money, MORE than enough money), he turns it down meaning he is not comitted to the club.

His reward, we take him to the states, let him demo himself v Man Utd & Real Madrid, on tv, so that he can sign for them or someone else, & meanwhile we get the satisfaction of knowing that we helped him on his way, at the expense of giving game time to one of the kids, or squad members who are staying.

Absolute fucking madness.

Not a cat in hell's chance are we going to help a player get a move to a rival.

Anyhow, if he still has to leave, I imagine it would be more in our interests for him to go to Arsenal now, as a sweetener for the Sanchez deal, but I'm hoping that his demands are scaring off other clubs & he will end up back at City.

Said it before on here but this is Sturridge MK2, the way it's been played out is exactly the same and it'll end up with the same outcome

Do you really think the club would welcome him back after the way he has behaved ?

Not sure they want to be seen to tolerating/ accepting this type of behaviour from a 17 year old who clearly thinks he is already the " dog's bollocks " .

Agree apart from the last sentence. His bridges at City are completely burnt

In a word: yes. If he knuckles down & performs.

Much more acceptable from a 17 year old than the behaviour of Mancini & Tevez who both behaved like 12 year olds.

And I'd have Tevez back now if he was 25.

Tevez was proven ability .

Sancho is about " ifs " so not sure he is worth the mither .

If he came back & got stuck in, then there wouldn't be any 'mither'.

If he sulked etc when he came back they would just kick him out of the training ground & leave him to watch Jeremy Kyle.

If he is serious about being a top footballer he will put the work in.

Some artists are moody fuckers & need a bit of special handling. Like Yaya.

Or Van Morrison, Richie Blackmore, Elton John.

He's already created the " mither " with his behaviour to-date .

But you clearly think it would be worth it , and I think that taking him back sends out the wrong message to other young players.

But I'll leave it there - its all about opinion I guess.

The worst message sent to any kids was by Pellegrini & Co.

Having one come back with his cap in his hand isn't a bad sign. It's a deterrent to others
