Jake Wain

I am very pleased and proud to start this thread which I hope in years to come will transition to the Players Performances thread and introduce my nephews son Jake.
Jake has been with City since he was 7 and has progressed through the age groups to his current contract with the Under 18 Academy. It has been a pleasure watching him at the Academy now having regular starts with this successful table topping team and a "joy" to see him called up as a substitute for the Under 19 team for the recent UEFA youth game against Dortmund at the "Joie" Stadium. And today we have learnt that Jake has been called up for England in an under 17 tournament in Dubai this month.
Jake comes from a very close family of lifelong Blues so you can imagine how thrilled we are to have someone on the other side of the white line. It's great too that Jakes dad Mark has recently joined this forum @Wainy and I'd like to shout out also to longer term Bluemooners, Marks other uncle @fiddlesticksblue and Mark's cousins @ultimateharold and @WickyWain
We're all looking forward hopefully to what will be one heck of a journey.

He's doing really well. You do not get this far with City unless you are a very gifted player. Congratulations to him and good luck for the future.

Congratulations, I'm very impressed with him
Quick, brave, good passing very positive player
Another thing I really liked was he looks 2 footed not just passing but tackles with either foot which is a nightmare for an opponent.

From the bits I've seen so far, he appears to have a really good attitude to go with his ability. Therefore, given the luck with injuries and such, which all young players need, he seems to be giving himself the best chance possible to succeed. I really wish him all the best.
