Jamie Jackson’s Player Season Ratings — Do you agree?

To be fair, if you are simply rating a player’s performance for a specific season compared to all players during that season (and their previous seasons), then a few are going to get full marks, otherwise you could never give out a 10, as there would always be something a player could improve on.

Of those that got a 10 (Rodri, Foden, and Haaland), I would only really contest the Striking Viking’s perfect score, as I think he was more of a 9/10 based on his lower conversion rate this season (not only compared to last season but to a few other strikers in the league).

I think both Rodri and Foden are deserving of 10/10 ratings for their overall performance this season.

I mean it’s only a bit of fun. I don’t think anyone is going to get worked up about it.

But when I think of a 10 back in the old days when a lot of people weren’t watching all the matches, it’s like the sort of thing you might see every 3 or 4 years. Something so exceptional, it would be reserved for a top player anyway having a career high performance.

Even 9, was very rare. I’d be looking more like a very satisfactory 7, rather than 9 for the likes of Doku and DeBruyne just because he missed half the season

But I suppose it’s nice to be over appreciated for once.

Seem a bit high to me if anything.

If you’re throwing out 10s willy nilly, there’s no where left to go if there’s any improvement.
They should follow the IMDB ratings for Spinal Tap and score out of 11.

I’d have similar but a few a notch down. Dias - 7, Kovacic - 7, Rodri - 9 Nunes - 5 Grealish - 6. Other than that I’d pretty much agree.
