Looks good in those vids.

Confirms what we've already seen
His passing is crisp
He's strong
Rapid as fuck
Good tackler
Good technically with quick feet

Time will clean up his game further and the prospect of Pep working on his game is pretty mouthwatering

Next season I can see him playing alot at RB as well as CB. Infact I think he can save us needing to sign a RB
If his loan goes well I've got faith in Pablo Maffeo being able to step up to the 1st team next season for a RB berth.

Denayer's ability to play RB and CB should make Pep love him, it's that kind of flexibility that lets him change formations on the fly.

Maffeo has also played CB so he's flexible too, but while Denayer has played international CB and Champions league RB, Maffeo has played u21 CB and Segunda division RB.

Not to belittle Maffeo because I think he's a great little player, but Denayer is streets ahead of him currently (as you'd expect with the age difference).

Denayer is going to be Pep's pet project. I think he's going to want him to develop into our version of our old pal Jerome Boateng here.

I hope not, I've never been impressed by Boateng and he always looks error prone when I've watched him (not that much to be fair).

Well he's gone on to win everything in Germany, the Champions League and World Cup, so it's not a bad benchmark to be fair.

Pep thinks Biateng is the best CB in the world, and Bayerns style of play is partially built around his ability to pass.

This has been discussed quite a lot, and if you read back through the thread I posted some videos showing how much Boateng is long range passing is involved.

I think you're right that he's good enough to be a squad player and to begin being introduced in to the first team next year but not sure he should be in the 'starting 11' if you like next year.

He has everything to be a starter for City next season, from speed, agression and technical abilities to versality, good vision and his attitude. With his returning, I think, we can even offload an old player or two from the back line/ defending midfield to help us buy a top-class player.

Also, by the Saray fans, he's considered to be one of the few players on their team who performs good and can't be charged with the team's crisis on the field (they also have the one out of the field with financial problems and stuff, but it's another story).
