javi garrido

Is he possibly still not quite match fit?

Or Hughes just feels with Robinho on the left, we need our left back to be a bit more solid, which Ball is. Garrido is the better all-round player, but Ball isn't as bad as people make out.

Could be a good shout here. Can't be having a left back who goes past Rob, too gung-ho!

He's more of an attacking option, we need to stop leaking goals and Ball is better at defending. I think. :S

Thats why Petrov usually plays better with Garrido because he has more support up the wing.

Ball's as solid as a Rowntree's jelly and he's worse than people make out. Over the past season he has lost much of what he had when he joined the club and I cannot see why Garrido, who appears to be establishing himself more and more in the team, cannot make the left back his own. I thought the goal against the RedScouseGits was the watershed but he appears to be back where he was.
