Andy Welsh is the main man now at Platt Lane ....... Cassell has been moved to the middle east at the request of the Sheikh ...... City are confident that Welsh can carry on where Cassell left off , and he has the blessing of Khaldoon who's been down there to see him ...... Welsh has been with City 14 months , and it seems that he has all the credentials to get the best our of the kids.

Right so JC hasn't been 'fucked off' just moved onto bigger and better things?

It would appear so ....... he'll be in charge of a worldwide youth venture.

He's getting a nice big pay rise too when he starts his new job , and keeping a manchester 'base' too.

Doesn't look like he's going there on his own though ...... two other coaches are also going , including Paul Power ....... it would also appear that Cassell didn't always see eye to eye with Hughes last season.

Have the stories of JC's demise been greatly overstated (on Bluemoon), then?

Pleased to hear it, if he's got a seemingly bigger and better job. The man's talents are absolutely without question imo.

Andy Welsh is the perfect man to take over from Jim though, he's got an impressive CV.

Not to sound quaint, IP, but I would be quite prepared to see both sides of an argument if my employer pushed me out of my current role and into another, if Mamba's 'nice big pay rise' was the result. BM, have you seen this info somewhere? I've historically been somewhat sceptical of this re-organisation. after reading this board, but I appeal to anyone out there who can advise, as I appreciate what JC has done for the club.

2. JC was given a fantastic opportunity to head up a global youth development programme based out of the UAE.

All I can say is, if my employer wanted to fuck me off, I wish he'd send me to Abu Dhabi on a fantastic tax free salary (presumably with free accomodation, servants etc) , with responsibilities for setting up a global training and development programme recruiting the very best of the worlds youngsters and working with them.

Doesn't sound like a demotion (or semi sacking) to me........
