I was very surprised when he signed for us. I remember around the time there was a lot of talk of him being suffering from severe homesickness - so much that it would affect his form on away games for Sevilla.

The third in the league cup Sunderland and the goal V spurs after the first 10 seconds sticks in the mind when thinking of his time with us.

We shifted him 7 seasons ago when you'd think he was on his last legs, so fair play to him for having a long a career as he has done.
