Top pro and really nice guy, met him briefly once and he was shy and humble as anything. Was very sceptical when we signed him, but he hit the ground running.

Quite a limited player, and never hit the heights of his first season here, but he's got a great work ethic and no wonder he's the captain and legend of his hometown club.

Sterling, Nasri and Milner doing it as well was a good indicator tbf. MP likes his team to slow play down allowing numbers to get forward if there isn't a quick break on.

I've seen a lot worse than Navas at City, a lot worse.
He was alright in my book.

Sure 20 years ago he would have been fine. But not in the context of the players that were in the team arround him. He had no end product.

Didn't he even have a decent spell of playing at rightback and keeping an ageing Zabaleta and Sagna out of the team.

His first season under MP he regularly beat his man and got to the byline after that his confidence went and cut back/passed back far too often. Not surprised he ended up playing right back.
