A lad I worked with had nothing but praise for Power after City let him go when he was 18. The lad had been at City since he was 11 but unfortunately didn't make the grade to stay. The lad was a testament to how he had been nurtured by those around him and Power still kept in contact with him afterwards and secured him a place in the lower league when he thought his footballing career was all but over.

In fairness Jim Cassell only really brought through a few half decent above average players. They were useful before we had the money as it saved us buying players and raised us much needed cash.
These days we are at a higher level and we need to produce better kids than the previous ones.
