Great clip. The ITV World Cup panel for Mexico 70 had three highly opinionated, not to say bolshie, members - Big Mal, Pat Crerand and Derek Dougan. They were so controversial that this was the only time ITV's ratings beat the BBC for a World Cup. Cloughie would have been a natural to join that bunch and he did later on but for 1970 he was one of the BBC team long with Joe Mercer among others.

Slight digress but after I watched Big Mall talking with Mullery I saw this clip,I was at the game as a 14 year old,missed the first goal as not in the ground despite living in Sheffield at the time.Never seen Booths goal until now.

Always remember after the game our fans singing as we walked out "City,stick together,City,stick together" Scary days.

We'd have had a least one of the pens v MANUre t'other week! Franny would have made such a spectacular collision with the ground that Olly for shame could not have washed his hands like he did with the Yaya HT one!

With modern training methods/fitness, Francis Lee would be absolutely one of the best players around, a miles better, faster, harder, version of Rooney. Nobody in City's current squad would be such a good partner for Aguero. He could hit the ball harder then than anyone can now, so god knows what he'd make of the modern day footballs.

Just to add. Look at the pitches those blokes played on, & the pitches they play on now, yet look at how many of our players have been out injured recently.
