Where you one of those who wrote off bernie early doors? they all say it's difficult to move countries and all that goes with it,the pace of the prem is faster, less time on the ball, more physical,on top of that pep is very intense and very particular and they have to learn it,no-one is like pep,no-one has the same style,he has been here 3 months and has hardly been on the pitch, give the boy a chance
No. I quite like bernard. Even when he's not quite at it he never hides and works his arse off. Of the regulars, Gundogan, stones,Otamendi,Mendy,Mahrez and jesus could do more each for different reasons. The squad is nowhere near as strong as some would have you believe. Even so, losing to Norwich and wolves is not the stuff of champions.
Intensity seems to have dropped off a cliff this year as well, any side that actually attack us are likely to get rewarded as even if they create little themselves we're likely to give them a helping hand. Back to cancelo he doesn't seem to be prepared to make a tackle that has nothing to do with settling in

HA cardiff etc 2014 double
Last season lost 3 games to bottom teams, domestic treble
Losing is part of the game,it's the beauty of the prem, anyone can beat anyone
We have lost our leader had several players out all season, the oldies are a few months older
2yrs straight of being a machine,it's not possible to maintain that for 3 seasons, there is a reason few teams do 3 in a row
And then there is var..

Perhaps if Pep would put fern back where he belongs the leader part might solve itself!

Fernandinho won't play until he is 50. We bought Rodri as his replacement (long shot for that though) and we can't act a if we didn't. I just hope Rodri wasn't fit yesterday as that was catastrophic performance. What was the name of other Spanish bloke we had there few years ago? Garcia? He was Makalele for yesterday's Rodri.

looks rather short of the BM seal of approval currently - probably keeps him awake at night too

Maybe so.

All a bit meh in the appearances so far, struggling to see a £60m talent that’s immediately obvious, even at his past clubs.

He’s not at the forefront of our problems though, and he should settle in and have a bigger impact as the months wear on.

Not seeing a 60 million player by any stretch.

Early days though.
