João Félix

Wages? Also agent fees too.

The structure of the payments, will Atletico pay in full or over installments? It isn't exactly as easy as meeting the release clause.
Felix's wages at another club has no bearing on Benfica, I doubt they care less what he earns at another club. If it was about his personal wages, then Mendes would be posturing, not Benfica.

Usually almost all transfer fees are paid in installments. Very few clubs pay them upfront. I think in special cases like the Laporte deal when Bilbao refused to deal with us, we had to pay the full amount upfront.

I think Benfica are taking a cautious stance until everything has been finalised and he's set for a medical.

i dont like the idea of signing anyone of the sum of £100 million plus and then allowing him to spend another season at his club What if he gets a serious injury? i may sound old fashioned but i would want our record signing to be so excited to come to us that he would be on the next available plane and keep him well wrapped up in Peps spare room allowing him the pleasure of a Chippie tea on Friday night he will love it!

to be presented as an Atleti player tomorrow per cmjournal or whatever that source is

Not heard of the guy until we where linked so not really disappointed.

Could turn out to be great but it’s not like Mbappe when we all knew about him or De Jong or De Ligt.

Unless I’m missing something he’s had a great 6 months in Portugal, no Champs League and understandable struggled in the Nations League (not slating him for having a bad game).

It seemed a lot of money for potential to me.

The problem is, that is going to be the going rate for potential soon. Revenues continue to go up, more and more clubs are going towards the signing young players with potential route as well.

The next Felix or whatever is probably going to cost more. Sterling, Sane, Jesus, Bernardo for example were signed pre-Neymar market. When Neymar cost £200m in 2017 the market went crazy.

Hard to understand but I guess you are right.

Why again can't we have a global FIFA limit of say 50M? or 20M? or 10M or 1M? Why not take transfers out of the financial equation fullstop and let revenue that comes from tickets, TV, sponsorship, etc just drop and drop and drop to whatever level sustains insurance, facilities and logistics.
