Very good signing for Bayern.

I would've loved him at City but players we're interested in will be fully aware that displacing Rodri is almost an impossible task which makes it really hard to find genuine competition for him.

We tried unsuccessfully to have a clear back-up in Phillips and now it looks like we've gone down the route of signing players who can play multiple positions and fill in rather than a specialist defensive midfielder.

Palhinha has impressed me, not at Rodders level, but still a very good player.
