Jo fluffs it again....

You sound happy that he missed. Whether you like him or not, it's better for us if he does well.

I hope he comes good. He could be the striker we need if he comes back to us and doesnt sign for Everton.

I'm not happy to hear he's missing chances/playing crap because, aside from him still belonging to City, it is extremely mean minded.

I hope he does well. He's not a £20million player on the evidence of this season (be it in light or dark blue), but that may change. I do think he has talent; the question is whether he can adapt to the English league and whether he is mentally strong enough to be consistent. We will see.

Well out of curiousity I thought I'd check out an Everton forum at random and see exactly what they are saying about Jo given he was rubbish tonight (well according to us anyway!) so here are the Jo related comments from the last page of the match report:

"Whoever doubts Jo's commitment, check that 50/50."

"We defended amazingly well and even had a few decent chances. Jo's 2 were probably the best with Pienaar up there too."

"Didn't even see Neville in the second half, Jo was done from 70 minutes. Well fought though."

"Saying that, Jo did put in a pretty good shift, just a tad off with his finishing, dam it!"

"Jo - On and off today, he has bags of skill but he needs to build his strength up, he should have won us the game tbh but im happy with the draw."

"Jo though he worked harder away from GP than he normally does was still crap tonight, his misses cost us three points. A striker who misses chances like he did, including one where he topples through over balancing wants his arse kicking"

"Jo- His link up play and possesion football was very good, his finishing however was not, still thought he had a good game overall though."

Despite missing a couple of sitters (the toppling over comment made me chuckle) they are relatively positive about Jo. I was also struck by the comments about his committment and work ethic (which I had not particulary noticed with us) and the comment about his link play (which I had noticed before with us).

I don't think this necessarily demonstrates anything or sheds any further light on what the future holds for Jo in the PL but it was interesting to get another set of views on him especially after what was in effect a bad night goal wise.
