Nothing should really change, as Laporta buys who he wants (or can), and it has little to do with managers in charge.

Whether they can afford him though, whole other issue.

Surely not for Cancelo. They would invest in young talents with a high potential only. Look at their last summer window:

Joao turns 30 in May, is nothing special anymore except for his difficult personality, has a contract with us til 2027 and is on astronomical wages (for most clubs).

How much would you realistically offer for him on a permanent move when you can easily keep him on loan without any loan competitors?

Barca wants him, but can't afford him, Bayern probably don't want to pay the asking price
