Job availability

Really hope you find something. Personally, I have all the time for people who are prepared to work. Iworked with some people who had difficulties of one type or another and always, without fail, found them to honest and trustworthy. Dyslexia is something that is totally misunderstood and usually doesn't affect a persons ability to perform tasks. I really, really hope your son finds a suitable position.
Thank you x

There was a story about a lad in south Manchester, Cheadle I think, with additional needs who was being binned off by Waitrose after working loads of free hours for the experience. It hit the BBC and within days both the Waitrose and the Asda nearby were offering him a full time contract.

Maybe try those, citing how you'd seen their commitment to supporting workers with additional needs?

Here you go, found it, hope you find something that works for all.

My son is dyslexic and has some mild learning difficulties. He’s worked in hospitality since the age of 18, he’s now 25. He’s got some great work experience but sadly the place he works at has been reducing his hours over time due to a fall in business - also because they prefer to staff with part timers.

This is a long shot I know but I’m appealing to anyone who may know of anyone that is willing to take a chance on him. He’s ideally looking for full time opportunities. He’s applying for lots of jobs but not hearing back and interviews and recruitment processes can be challenging.

Thanks to anyone who can help.
He’s Manchester based.
Have you gone through or aware of govt and charity schemes to help people into work with any type of learning difficulties?
