The performance related bonuses might of been taken into consideration. Hart and the rest will only see those types of figures if we keep winning the trophies.

Yes Ray I understand the bonus related payments but at an extra £40K a week for winning something, surely we wouldn`t be able to afford those sort of figures to all and sundry, who have signed a new contract, would we ?
Only asking not arguing mate.

It's 120,000 pounds a week plus bonuses and image rights which will rise to 165,000 a week over 5 years.

Either PB or a few other poster might explain it lot clearer than I can but from what they have said we are ok in doing that. Me neither I am least argumentative sod there is (honest).

It was me and my figures mate.I originally worked it out that it would be an extra £20M per year per player x at least 6 players by "x" amount of years.
You can tell already that an accountant I`m not.

Re: Joe Hart Big Money New Deal

These are Daily Fail figures of 165k a week
Which have been floating around which are totally baseless just like most of there stories
You can get an idea that there incorrect from this that Silva and Kompany are on 130 k and 110 k a week respectively and there is no way in the world Hart earnings would be more than them

Re: Joe Hart Big Money New Deal

Free advice don't believe the media bullshit, they enjoy to inflate the numbers

Re: Joe Hart Big Money New Deal

We have to pay him more than he would earn elsewhere as we do not have to pay a transfer fee for him. With 18 months left we have 3 choices, renew at the rate he can demand, sell for an amount you could get with 12-18 months left (maybe 15m) or let him go for free.

If he went for free I guarantee he would get somewhere the equivalent of 200k a week as he would be able to get any transfer fee to himself. If we sold him for 15m and he got a 5 year deal and 100k a week that would cost the other ran the equivalent of 165k a week.

We have to evaluate the cost of not re-signing him and getting another top keeper - at this age that may well cost us a 20m + fee and 120k a week quite possibly therefore costing us 200k plus a week for a player no better who would take time to settle in!

Simple demand and supply - I bet we pay Sagna as much as we do much better defenders because he was on a free and therefore able to demand a lot more.

It is why you need to renew 3 or 4 years out like we do for Sergio so there is no looming huge potential pay out for the player
