Joe Hart - Birmingham City's 2009/10 Player of the Year and Junior Blues Player of the Season
Joe Hart's impressive season for Blues was capped off in style on Monday evening as the goalkeeper was named as Birmingham City's 2009/10 Player of the Year at the club's Gala Awards Dinner

More than 1,100 people attended the star-studded event at the ICC in Birmingham, making it the biggest and best Gala Dinner in the club's history.

The Blues board were there, as well as the management and players, and of course the supporters.

On-loan Manchester City stopper Hart received the top accolade as voted for by the club's supporters.

The 23-year-old joined Blues last summer on a season- long loan from City and was instrumental in helping Alex McLeish's side to their best top flight finish in more than half a century.

During his year at St. Andrew's Hart made a total of 41 appearances and kept no less than 12 clean sheets against some of the world's top strikers as Blues finished the season in an impressive ninth place.

I will wager he will relish the chance of going back to the bright lights of London and all that it brings and wont flutter it away.

What odds he never gets a first team start though?
 
Looks like Joe has done one from Burnley along with others. This is the problem with extending the season past contacts. PL should be paying these players who are out of contract not clubs.

It's amazing how a couple of posters can destroy an ex players reputation on a open football forum without one jot of evidence.

This isn't just problems off the pitch mate, it's accusations he was fixing our games.

Agreed. There's not much sadder than people hinting on a football forum that they know something without actually coming out and saying it. Especially when it all seems to stem from something they've read on the Football Is Fixed blog. Guess it gives them some kind of weird power trip.

Meanwhile a once highly rated, established England international goalkeeper with huge amounts of Premier league experience cant get a game anywhere.

Right, so just come out and say it. You've heard he's got a gambling problem and you've read a blog that says he was involved in fixing games.

He might not be getting much game time, but he's been employed by two PL clubs since these rumours/allegations first surfaced.

Well at least you came on to defend your theory, point still stands, it's fuckin ridiculous the amount of bollocks that gets wrote on here about the shit like this, You only believe it because one other poster has told you and he's spread it across the forum that Joe was match fixing, and as always not a single fuckin ounce of evidence. Loved Joe. Absolutely loved him. Decline is very sad indeed. Hope he can rebuild his career - maybe a year in the Championship or something?

Its generally the same ITK types who claim to know about FFP (but got it horribly wrong) or drop sly and malicious hints about Mancini/Hart etc. Its a ****s trick and yet some of the biggest wums have got away with it for years.
