John Bond 1932-2012

RIP john bond...
Ive got to be honest i never liked him , and its probadly because he dropped one of my favourite players in Nicky Reid for his lump of a center half son Kevin ..
He did give me some great away trips to Wembley, Villa and Peterboro though...

R.i.p john bond,my stand-out memories of him are of course 81cup final, his three signings gow, mcdonald and hutchinson and how he was always well dressed.....

Would like to echo what has already been said. I was a young teenager following City in 81, and went to all the FA cup games. Peterborough in the 5th round was mad, big Tommy Booth got the winner, then to Goodison with about 17,000 City fans for the quarter final, Power grabbing a late equalizer. The semi final was against a classy Ipswich team at Villa park, and Power again scoring a class winner in extra time. We should of won the first game against spurs in the final, they were dropping like flies in extra time. Very happy memories, R I P John Bond.

Thanks for that FA Cup semi final at Villa Park. Still see my old mate Gaz climbing up the front of the railings celebrating Powers goal on youtube.

Thanks for the (2) Final(s) even if it was a shit outcome.

When watching/attending football was fucking brilliant.

RIP.
