Very sad news. Love John Gwynne. He's a brilliant commentator whose passion and knowledge are 2nd to none. Very best wishes to him.

Walking past the Radio Manchester tent at Blackpool many years ago when a passing spectator stopped and said ......
"I thought I recognised you from your voice" he replied "well I've always had the face for radio". Loved him.

Was not a big fan but saw him at a City supporters event about 20 years ago and he was brilliant.

I hope hes comfortable in his final days,

Hearing that voice took me back so many years.

Just goes to show how a professional reporter can be. Showed no bias and his enthusiasm was only surpassed by his knowledge.

Whilst sad I hope he has many happy days with his good lady in the future.
