He is no better than when we signed him. Weak mentally for me hence the reason he spend half the season on the bench last year.

Think a little perspective is needed with Stones on today's performance.

Today was his first game back for a month and his injury back in Feb meant that he hardly played for the rest of last season. Added to the fact that he is having to play next to Otamendi and Walker, it would be a difficult situation for anyone let alone someone coming back from injury against one of the leagues most in form strikers.

He needs a run of games and he'll be fine for us.

  3. Our back 4 is dreadful. Phil the face would fit in nicely.

Stones unfortunately can only perform with the assistance of a more competent and confident player holding his hand. Looks like we will be splashing top bucks on a new CB in January.

Pep has said he isn't gonna buy a new expensive CB in Jan.

Yes he will be fine, he will be fine because we will hammer most sides and everyone will get a boner for Stones again. Today is the real Stones, can’t defend and the master of taking 5 touches when 1 will do.

Aside from his defensive frailty his constant pointing at where he's going to pass the ball gets on my tits. The new McManaman

Not going to do a hatchet job on Stones , he is more than capable of becoming the pivotal player in defence , Pep is going to have to bite the bullet and play him week in , week out , he has shown when playing regularly his confidence and authority grows , i believe he can achieve a decent level . Would slot Dinho alongside him and save Otto for cup game and european dead rubbers , because Otto is too impulsive.
