People will say it means nothing and it's just been typed up by his social media team but I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay if Garcia's leaving. We'll probably cash in on Tosin and I'm not sure if Pep trusts Taylor at this point.

The Garcia thing probably has brought him a reprieve but at the end of the day Pep is still playing a 35 year old midfielder ahead of him in his position. He'll have to be really good next year.

A player coming out saying stuff like ”looking forward to next season” before getting sold surely happend several times in the past? On paper, John Stones is still our player so he can (and maybe should) talk about his future here with certainty.

As mentioned, I expect him to leave this summer regardless of when Eric Garcia is leaving. Koulibaly will join, and then we’ll promote a youngster or buy a 4th choice.

I can’t imagine Pep still believes in him. He would never throw a player under the bus in public, but picking 35-year old CDM Fernandinho ahead of a 26-year old Stones, who should be at his peak, pretty much speaks for itself.

Doesn't matter what I believe. If Pep believes he can still make a player out of Stones then so be it.

Was brilliant in a similar set-up for England at the worldcup but didn't get a look in tonight. I can say for a fact that he would have been better than Dinho

A total of 214 minutes since the resumption, two full games and two substitute appearances, which were all against weak teams. Not even in the squad for 15 games this season, not injury related, and only 49 minutes in 9 Champions League games.

Very much doubt we’ll see him in a City shirt again.

If he decides to leave I wish him all the best like I did with Sane. No matter who we buy our defending will still be shocking because it is the major downside to Pep's system.
