Loved it!!!!

He is quickly turning into one of my favourite players alongside Bellers and Carlos.

When he scored what I would class as a wondergoal he ran off and grabbed the badge and showed he was proud to play for city which is exacly what you want to see from your players when they celebrate :)

As its been covered already on here we all know we have a star in the making and let it continue Johno because your performances are a joy to behold!!

i dont think he knew what do with himself. he looked very excited. he also seemd to put his hand out in apology to the sunderland fans. after all he was a mackem growing up.

This is what I mean mate. He was a Sunderland supporter growing up so it must be a mixed bag of feelings when you score against them but he seems really proud that he is a city player and I think he will be massive here!!

yeh i think he wanted to run off like mad then realised, then put his hand up then kind of ran off and celebrated but nothing like in the manner he wanted to,

any other team apart from sunderland he would of celebrated alot more infront of our travelling lot.

to me he plays good every game. even vs chelsea he looked dangerous and got us some free kicks in good spots...give him the armband. maybe seeing a young lad play good and get the armband will motivate ppl. or lescott. stop giving it to given or put toure in at rb

Those who say he did'nt know what to do after scoring. Well your dead right his prem scoring record is terrible. But I hope now he is playing with Bellamy & Tevez. His work rate will be like theirs & he can score & create goals. He will have no problem gettin in the team playing with both feet. SWP can't play with one.

I doubt it. Mancini was going mad at them all, telling them to get back to the halfway line and win the game.

For a second I thought he was going to kiss the badge but then clocked that it wouldn't go down well as a Sunderland fan, He's not like Rooney kissing the Yoonited badge claiming to be an Everton fan???

Absolutely fantastic goal and prospect!

He is going to become a great player.

So dangerous on the ball defenders have not got a clue what he is going to do!

Great seeing this lad come on,you just knew something was going to change in the game,he takes people on and gets the crowd going.Bit like SWP used to.

And the bigger his rep gets the more defenders will back off him and allow him time on the ball because they dont want to be skinned and that will allow him to swing those lethal balls into the box.

Great player

2 minutes of being on he had already skipped past 2 and put Santa Cruz through in a dangerous position, unfortunately what followed that from Santa was shocking. When he come on i would say 50% of the game was played just on the left wing he was operating, he wanted the ball, he was making things happen.

The other players like to give it to him so they already know what he is capable of, an excellent goal yesterday too and if he can start scoring a few more his confidence can only get better and better. He has the potential and its upto the club to make sure we turn him into a star.

Even David Pleat doffed his cap to that one, begrudgingly I think. Great strike - top class and a great timely reminder to Cappello.

Still trying to make sense of yesterday, so good in the second but so bad in the first? At least Mancini showed his influence by clearly having an impact at half time, and having the guts to change things too. But we underestimated Jones I feel and it was going to take something special to beat Gordon, thank goodness we found it!

Ultimately though, we were fighting for a draw in a game we should have won, even from a goal down. If we'd have scored 10 mins earlier I have no doubt we'd have gone on to win it.

Next game then, Fulham away, Adam has to start. Possibly Viera starts too, to cut out the direct ball forward. For me, Johnson should be on that plane to South Africa. In form, a wild card for the opposition to deal with and not really that much of a risk for us - if he can perform so well for us with the pressure of a big switch at a young age, am confident he would do it for the National Team.

He wants to be at this club. He had offers from everywhere but didn't uproot any trees to get there. When we were in he made sure he signed. That is something special. Morons will say it was for money like all our signings but he was being tracked by Chelsea. He signed here to become one of the best. He believes in himself. He has come here and impossed himself on the team. He could of been like delph at villa, just a bit part player. Instead he has made himself one of the first names on the teamsheet.

For me he should be starting every week. The way he skinned those 2 Sunderland players was frightening. What I love about him is that he stands up straight, head is always up, he has incredible awareness. He will become a talisman at this club. The first of a new breed signing for us to be part of the success. He is already gaining huge envious glances. There is a knowing amongst opposition managers, Bruce just shrugged his shoulders after that, he almost had an air of expectance about Adam's ability.

looks like that to me too. Also Bobby was telling them to get back for the re-start

We were saying the same about Ireland last year, the club need to make sure they keep his feet on the ground, keep him working hard so he doesn't think he has already made the "big time" and make sure he does the business on the pitch consistantly. He already has the love of the fans through his excellent performances so far, lets just hope he has alot of motivation to better himself further.

Agree completely. I keep expecting him to lose the ball (probably from watching some of the dross we have had over they years) but he never does. Any every trick, every feint, has a direct propose. He doesn't beat a guy then hold up play or check for options, he beats them and has a direct purpose in mind. Like the goal - he knew what he wanted to do as soon as the ball broke to him.

A few posters had a pop at me for saying this kid will be world class.

I stand by that judgement - I said he is the closest thing I have seen to Giggs in a very long while.

He has it all, now give him the run in the team his talent will benefit from, especially as SWP is pile of dogshit, and is hopefully out of the club this summer.
