Just seen him at the 17m stage of the Manchester Marathon as it came through Alty.

Was walking and looked like he was going to call it a day.

Painful to watch, although still in decent shape.

Well he is 35 years of age now , so maybe his legs are feeling it a bit ...... he's at Stockport County now , short-term , isn't he ??

He's probably never scored a better goal than the one he stuck in our net that day!

See him quite frequently Northwich. Had a chat with him at Currys there in January . Told me he wished he had stayed. Regrets moving to Crystal Palace but his contract had less than one year to run so the club had no option but to sell. He said hes not really up to anything at the minute work wise. Hes not retired. Free agent. Had nothing but good things to say about the club and fans.

Sounds as if hes not match fit.

30 odd? Not old to be doing a marathon.I was 38 when I did my best time of 3.13 at Manchester in 1999 and five mins slower at London.Had only been running from 3 years earlier so if I could,anyone can.

I was working in Preston back then and it was shit going into work the day after

I used to deliver around Preston 3 times a week back when we were in div 2 and the Preston fans were all great to get on with. The stick I got was from a Blackpool fan who was an utter wanker. My hatred of Blackpool stems from then.
