IMO he is NOT good enough and I can't see him being any sort of success with us but there you go. Each to their own.

Fair enough. Your first response suggested we were interested simply because he would be cheap. If we are indeed looking at him a second time, it will not be because of the price I am sure of that. Personally, I dont want him, but the club obviously think he can do something

Honestly, the shite that gets spoken on the forum. Couldn't be more different players.

Evans is actually competent on the ball for one.

Is he really? it's all about opinions i suppose.

I was coming at it from the angle below, of course all my own opinions.
Both are centre halves who can play on the left side.
Both would be either 3rd or 4th choice in our squad.
Evans is no better in the air than Mangala.
Mangala is more physical than Evans.
Mangala is quicker than Evans.
Mangala is younger and so we would get longer from him. Evans will need replacing in a couple of years.
Mangala has had a season with Pep to learn what is expected.
Keeping Mangala would save us £20+ million.

Maybe Evans is more competent on the ball but I don't feel Mangala has let us down and seems to be improving.

I accept that Pep thinks differently otherwise we would not be looking at Evans and so i will go with whatever he decides.

While you may think my opinion is shite, I beg to differ.
