Just anyone after tonight

This. I have been harboring hopes that Eli will mature/ find his feet. So bad and it makes his colleagues nervous.

Never been against this transfer. We have had plenty of that lot play for us before. Some have done very well.

The most offensive parts are his age and the fee. Top and bottom for me. Different world now to even 18 months ago. Not my money tho.

I'd rather resign Demichelis than keep Mangala. Evans is decent, his age is the problem for me.

Tonight was yet another nail in Mangala's coffin and yet another nail the weirdo 'Mangler' lovers on here will ignore. The only thing he's going to mangle is our chance of winning a cup this season

Slagging our own to make your point ? Jonny isn’t better or on the same level to what we have he’s much worse

I never slag off any player. Mangala gives his all every game. He didn't buy himself for City, he doesn't pick himself.

It is my opinion, however, that he doesn't possess the skills on the ball to be a consistently good performer in a Pep team. I also think he never will be able to possess those skills.

Therefore IMO it is important we pick someone to be 2nd/3rd choice CB as we get deep into competitions from Jan onwards.

The only questions you need to ask about potential replacements are:
1. Is the player a significant improvement in the type of system we play?
2. Are they available now?
3. Would they be a good fit in the dressing room?

(Again IMO) the answer to all 3 questions is with regards to Evans is 'yes'.

I agree. Offloading Mangala with only 3 weeks to find a suitor and a decent deal isn't ideal. Keep him as fourth choice until the summer and buy then, IMO.

Yep agree on that. On top of that even though Kompany can't be full relied upon he can still provide cover until the summer.
