Would he get into Utd Chelsea team? Our biggest domestic rivals? Would he get into Barca, Juve, Madrid or cl teams? No. Therefore for 18mil and our aspirations he's a fucking hideous prospect. One that makes a mockery of our other signings at CB and our youth prospects.
 
My mate text me who is a baggies fan and apparently the club want 40 mil for him. I can't see us paying that for a back up. He said they rate him highly and would easily get in our starting 11.
 
He's a good player, probably the most important one in 2 recently overachieving teams (WBA and NI).

Not exactly exciting, but could be a smart move. We need another body there, especially if we're going to go 3 at the back regularly.
 
He was a rag so what, always looked good when I have seen him (except the 6-1) and would rather spend this sort of money than 70mil on Vvd so we can get another forward

If/when Kompany gets injured do you believe centre back options of Stones, Otamendi and Evans can win us the league? Knowing full well by watching City the utter shit show Otamendi and Stones were together last season

What a load of crap. Even if he is West Brom's best player that doesn't mean he is of the standard we need. I've watched him plenty and he's bang average on his best days.

Seriously. I've never seen him have a good game for them. Unless it's against someone below their level.

This guy could be in a Champions league semi-final for us.

No I don't think Gibson would be better sportingly and would no doubt be more expensive. He's also unproven, not used to winning, not used to the pressure of winning things etc etc. Smalling is better than Gibson. Sorry if you can't see passed players being a rag or ex rag.

If some of you thought we're getting Bonucci as the 4th choice CB, you need to get your head checked. We can sell Otamendi for 20-30 million next summer and get ourselves a top class CB for 50-70 million, whatever it costs, to replace him.

Nonsense argument. Would Victor Moses get in our side. Would Lukaku? No. Do they do a good job for their teams. Yes.
