Jorginho

I actually hope we miss out on jorginho and go for rabiot, class player more of a beast than the Italian but still very good on the ball. Thinks he is coming to end of his contract and PSG need some cash even if they hate our owners. Even spent some time in our academy so that ticks a nice box too.

This article seems to confirm that Jorjingho wants to play for us. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2018/07/10/jorginho-prefers-manchester-city-move-over-chelsea/382207/

However if we want him we will probably have to match Chelsea's bid. If indeed there actually is one. This is De Laurentis we are talking about after all.

agree....Rumours were that Napoli wanted 60mil euros from the very start of negotiations (which is what the rags paid for Fred) and that hasnt changed. Maybe Jorginho still wants to play for us but has concerns we not willing to match Napoli's valuation and if that is the case it would be normal to listen to other offers. Why would he hold out for a deal that might not happen.....especially when given the chance to play for his old coach....If Jorginho doesnt happen, I just hope we've already been working on a backup option these last few weeks, just incase....

Ugh this is starting to look pretty ominous. Respect the stance we take but... We do need a DM and now we have seen all of the other main contenders sign one for this season. Even bloody Arsenal have managed it. How many players of sufficient quality are left out there? Pjanic + Kovacic + Milinkovic Savic would be more expensive and don't fit the role quite how we like it, would do a job but they're not the same kind of player as Jorgi. Ndombele I rate very highly but he's also very raw and Weigl hasn't shown anything like our quality for years now.

My question is why we would let a top target pass us by, and join a major rival no less, over a few million quid? If he does end up going there surely there must be something else to this or something else in the works. Why else would we bin 6 months of work over 2, 5 even 10 million when we just got 160 million for the title alone and are only after 1 or 2 signings.

Will be disappointed if this deal falls through as we definitely need another DM to lessen the workload for Dhino. It seemed Jorginho ticked all Pep's boxes and let's hope that his desire to join City is stronger than Chelsea.
He's not exactly avdm in the traditional sense of the word. He appears to be more of a deep lying playmaker who can chip in with defensive duties. A far cry from the all round game fern can deliver. This is my concern, whilst this lad will excel in many areas, it's the robust defensive part of ferns game I think we will miss in this lads game.

That's easy - he wants to play for Pep. There was an article a couple of weeks ago quoting his agent (I think) that said Jorjingho was so exited are the prospect of playing for Pep.

Why would he have concerns, surely he can't be arsed who pays what,if he wants us,he comes,no?

So many things we dont know mate and nothing confirmed yet....but if we do end up watching Fred, Fabinho, potentially Jorginho and potentially Seri sign for other teams in the prem when we've been targeting one since Christmas it would be frustrating to put it mildly!;)

They are ****s we can do without,IMO.
Anyone coming to the Prem who we shown an interest in and goes elsewhere must be mental.

Yeah I'd much rather Rabiot than Kovacic as Kovacic isn't a DM/regista. Rabiot has come on immensely in recent times, I wonder how he'd do as a solo pivot though compared to in a two like he has been with Verrati.

No.....If we dont meet Napoli's valuation, it doesnt matter how much he wants to come. Mahrez's talks during the winter transfer window showed us that. So many things we dont know mate....maybe we've already told him we not going to meet Napoli's valuation? So his options would be to stick around in Napoli until the next transfer window, potentially take a bigger salary package from Chelsea or go on strike and hope Napoli willing to take less from us? Guess we'll find out soon enough.
