So let’s catch everyone up to speed.
ADL is acknowledging our FIRST bid(that was reported a while ago).

Which brings me to the next point.
Hes trying to bring in 2 new CM and it is my belief that the money for Jorginho is going to cover the fees for both.

There’s 3 common names mentioned as replacements: Parades from Zenit,
Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria(who I think we should look at just in case Jorginho falls through) and Fabian Ruiz from Real Betis.

Here’s some info about Torreira and Napoli:

Torreira could get expensive(Sampdoria wants more than €30M) and he wants to wait till after the World Cup where he gets to supply 2 of the best STs in the game in Suarez & Cavani which will surely up his value.

Fabian Ruiz: has a €32M release clause so should be pretty straight forward.

Some Napoli/Italian outlets report ADL is holding out for €70M but we should be able to meet at €60-65M

My guess is Jorginho deal is done and dusted for €50+5m, and ADL is now creating a narrative about him being a tough negotiator. It's basically the way he operates according to some Napoli fans on twitter.

Agree on Torreira, he could be a very interesting alternative.

Nigel de Jong was an excellent passer of the ball, and if he was still around now I think Pep would keep him, anyway I remember him in that LC game at Anfield where he scored that screamer from 30 yards, he was a player who gave 100% every game.

He was a good enforcer. We haven’t had one of those since we left, and i sometimes think we could do with one. But great passer of the ball? Let’s not exaggerate.
Back on track: honestly, €50 million or €55 million for a player as important as Jorginho, and as highly rated by Pep ,wouldn’t shock me in the slightest, given the current market. Even €60 million doesn’t sound outrageous.
Worst case scenario: can we walk away from this deal? I suspect that De Laurentiis feels that we can’t.

Sadly would be banned for a third of the season these days, it was a sign of things to come for City with all the shit he got for the Newcastle tackle.

NDJ was an excellent defensive midfielder but he wouldn’t get in our current squad due to his technical limitations.

Only my guess but reckon it will get done after his Italy game on Monday it's all settledand De Laurentis is using the time putting stuff out on twitter to enhance his hard dealing reputation. I could be wide of the mark but we'll see next week.

I think screamer is pushing it. He slipped which changed the flight of the ball making it go in the top corner
