Good interview with Jose Mourinho with two interesting answers concerning City extracted below

Q Perhaps the hardest job in coaching is to go to a club like Chelsea or Manchester City who are spending a lot of money, haven’t won for years, and want to win the league?

JM The problem is the pressure. Can you cope or not? Roberto can. To coach Inter is not easy; he has that experience. He can buy good players — if he chooses well he can buy almost the best players. His squad at the moment probably has more talent and resources than Man United, Chelsea or Arsenal. What they don’t have is the history, the winning tradition, and they have the pressure behind that huge investment. But one day they have to do it.

Q Why did you turn down the City job?

JM Right now, at this stage of my career, I’m trying to win the Grand Slam [of league titles in England, Italy and Spain]. I want to be back to England one day, no doubt, but no player or coach has ever pulled off this feat. I have to try.

That's the thing with Mourinho, it's all about him.

When Fergie finally goes the Rags are welcome to him because he won't be there for the long haul.

Why all this shit about History, surely that is what it is...History, what about THE FUTURE, which I'm sure is definitely blue.

You can keep your history, it is the future I'm concentrating on. I was 3 when we last won a trophy and obviously remember nothing about it.
Finally I have a chance of seeing something special and keep saying to my 10yr old, how wonderful it is going to be and how long our suffering fans have been waiting for the day it all changes.
