Id imagine RB would be keen to keep Palmer as hes a potential Sancho level sale for them in the future.

It would be slightly odd for a top club like Leipzig to do a regular loan for one of our top youth. Selling with a buyback gives the buying club more incentive to play and develop the player.

I think Leipzig have to sell due to FFP. So they need one big sale this summer.

i think both the club and player have known for a while mate hence his lack of playing time and him crying after the Chelsea game knowing it would be the last time he played at the Etihad in a City shirt?

That would be a huge chunk for Leipzig, looking online at German sources it's 100 mil they need to make from sales for FFP, so 86 million would really help that, they must be banking on this sale.

Yeah thats why I reckon Gvardiol gets done quick, they get us to pay 86 or something with addons they can then go out and get a replacement for both Gvardiol and Laimer without FFP worries.

He`s the best young CB in the world and could be with us 10 years plus! Sell Laporte for £30-40m and the fee is a bargain!
